dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate mainly the role of the communicative approach and its techniques as they are used inside the classroom. It aims to highlight the importance of teaching a foreign language approaches and the nature of techniques used in teaching .It gives a brief idea about some methods and approaches that have been used before the communicative approach . The research population of this study consists of 37 secondary school English teachers at Jebra area .however, the research covers five chapters . Chapter one is an introductory chapter where the theoretical framework of the study is presented. Chapter two is a review of Literature. It reviews previous studies that has been done; consist of the main approaches of language learning, and the methods stemmed from them like the communicative techniques. Chapter three describes the methodology of collecting data. And a report of the empirical the study. The observation checklist, which was the instrument, used for data collection consists of 50 items. Different statistical tests were used in the analysis of the data. Chapter four includes analysis and presentation of results. The observation checklist has been divided into five categories, in order to make the discussion clear and easy to follow. Chapter five, which is a concluding chapter, consists of summary conclusion, implications, recommendations and suggestions for further researches.en_US
