Abstract:
The study aims to clarify the reality of using project management methodology and its relationship to construction projects, because of its great importance in providing solutions that can help in organizing this large sector so as to ensure the implementation of projects on the basis of a unified and clear procedures in addition to determine the responsibilities and powers, as well as to determine responsibilities and powers with focusing on control, observing and follow up projects in order to avoid stumbling and work to increase success and minimize the damages from failing. This study has been introduced to investigate the effect of applying the methodology of projects management on constructional projects, operations contained, evaluating management performance and cognitive accompanying to them and the relation of project determinates (time, cost and quality) and the role of Project Management Office, in addition to the importance of provide awareness of projects management methodology as a competitive advantage. This problem has been formulated and discussed by he current study from the key question: what are the key requirements for successful implementation or application of project management methodology in construction projects? In order to achieve the objectives of the study in accordance with scientific methodology, have responded to this task through the collection, processing and analysis of the views, in addition to a series of interviews and access to previous publications. Data were collected through a questionnaire which were designed as a tool to measure the hypotheses of the study have been using descriptive statistical methods to test hypotheses and evidentiary study using statistical package for social sciences (SSPS).
The study has found a statistically significant effect of the absence of the availability of talents, scientific personnel leaders and administrative with its various dimensions and the role of projects management office, in addition to the absence of awareness of the importance of projects management as a competitive advantage over non-successful implementation of projects management methodology in constructional projects.
