Abstract:
This research introduces methodology to overcome the problems of the software quality practices in Suadnese software companies. Data has been collected from Sudanese software companies through questionnaire which cover KPAs (Key Process Area) practices in CMM (Capability Maturity Model) level 2 and level 3 that has been sponsored by SEI (Software Engineering Institute), and interview which cover some areas in questionnaire and some other areas such as Marketing view, documentation and reusability, ethical view, and culture view…etc. This research attempts to measure the value of the software quality in Sudan using standard methodology for analysis which is called PRIMS (Process Improvement for Small to Medium Software enterprises) and determine the strength and weaknesses in the Sudanese software companies, and introduces suggestions, recommendation and SPI (Software Process Improvement) practices to local software houses to achieve the user satisfaction, ability to meet budget targets, ability to meet schedule targets, productivity, and quality.
