Abstract:
This study was conducted to collect some information about the
livestock number in Sudan during year 1995-2005, Sheep and
Motton exports and the importing Countries.
Export data were collected from different sourcesrelevant to the
field of the study, such as Ministry of Animal Resources, and
Slaughterhouses in Khartoum (Kadarow, Ganawa, Sabaloka).
Financial and economics datawere collected from the central
bank and Ministry of Trade.
Results of statistical analysis for data were follos:
The numbers of Cattle, Sheep, and Camel increase significantly
through period of study, while Goat number increasing but not
significantly.
The Off-take of the animals also increase significant in period of
study.
It was found that the numbers of animal slaughtered in
Slaughterhouses (Kadarow, Ganawa, Sabaloka) not significant
between it.
Saudia Arabia its consider that the first Market for the exports of
sudanese Mutton, that through quantity exported, behind it
Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Emirates, and Oman. Also Bahrian,
vAbuzabi, Musket and Libya, imported lowest quantity, (16.34,
3.28, 1.76, 2.69), respectively. The nubers exported are
increased during Musim Elhaj.
It was found that the value for the first 5 years was 129.01
million dollars higher than the second 5 years at 101.97million
dollars.
