Abstract:
Infertility is defined as the failure to conceive a desired pregnancy after 12 months of unprotected intercourse and effect 10% of married couples .With recent technological development and proper use of medically assissted reproduction techniques ,one half of theses couples will become pregnant . More than any other new method ,ultrasound has significant im-provements in the modern female infertility .Doppler technique has been used in medicine for management of many years but only in the last decade this diagnostic modality has gained practical importance in Gynae. Primary B mode ultrasound is used giving information about morphology while doppler ultrasound gives information about the blood flow and flow can be detected even in vessels that are too small to image .
The purpose of this study was to examine the impedence to uterine blood flow and different treatment in infertility patients .Maine uterine artery impedence to blood flow was seen and studied among 100 patients with different causes of infertility. Measurments were taken during the natural cycles on day,9,11,13,25, etc and during the treatment cycles .The mean uterine artery impedence of RI is increased in women with infertility during the natural and ovulation induction cycles . The aetiology of infertility was either ovarian disorders ,tubal factors ,abnormal semen analysis ,congenital anomalies ,unexplained infertility ,endometrosis or multifactorial artery impedence was above and, predicting obstetric complications and measurements of uterine artery impedence among these women was not possible . Estimation of uterine artery impedence values seems to have clinical impact in the management of these patients attending an in vitro fertilization program.
