Abstract:
It is being increasingly recognized that a high quality of product and services and their associated customer satisfaction are the key to the survival for any enterprise.
Due to new economic age there is a quality changes facing Sudanese companies and corporations.
The Sudan government developed Total Quality Management Consultancy to support private and governmental companies and corporations to become a proficient and to create Total Quality Management (TQM) culture.
The oil sector is the major contributor in Sudan economy, since Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company (GNPOC) is the pioneer, it has been taken in this research as a model in applying Deming’s principles for total quality management.
Objective of this research is:
- Simulate the flowing of oil from wells head to oil gather manifold up to Process facilities so as to achieve maximum flow rate without building of back pressure.
- To reflect TQM applications in GNPOC Central Processing Facilities (CPF) comparing with Deming’s 14 points with regards to System, Process, Service and Product.
Central Processing Facilities in Greater Nile Petroleum has been selected as case study (Example) for applying Deming’s 14 points in terms of TQM concepts, tools, bench markings and leadership.
The research highlights the implementation of Deming’s principles and what are recommended requirements and procedures to keep the company in continuous improvement.
The research methodology is company’s documents, standards, procedures and meetings in addition to personal observation.
The main key wards are: Total Quality Management (TQM), Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company (GNPOC), Central Processing Facilities (CPF), Field Processing Facilities (FPF) and Health Safety Environment (HSE).
