Abstract:
Liver pathologists, have long noted findings of fatty changes, within the liver for many years, with increasing studies it was clear that there was an important group of conditions, unrelated to alcohl abuse, this condition produced similar histologic changes, termed by (N.A.SH) for non alcoholic steato hepatitis.
Today it is recognized that NASH forms one end of the spectrum of diseases closing fatty changes within the liver only 15-20 % of patient with NASH may progress to cirrhosis over one to two decodes.
Fatty liver associated with the use of alcohol may occur with as little as 10 – 20 of alcohol ingested for week.
