Abstract:
The main objective of this study is to highlight the importance of exploiting authentic documents as pedagogical support in teaching French language at the level of secondary schools in Sudan.
The importance of such exploitation justified by the means those authentic documents from on attitudinal point of men play an essential role in motivating, attracting and encouraging students to learn French language. Hence, they contribute effectively in the process of reinforcing all language skills in addition to the real knowledge of cultural aspects.
To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher followed a descriptive analytical method through observations of students’ performances before and after using authentic documents and their analysis. Moreover, the researcher analysis the questionnaire conducted and distributed to a number of secondary schools teaching teachers in order to have global vision of the situation as well as the utility of using authentic documents.
The main results of this study cloud are summarized in tow points:
The exploitation of authentic documents in of great utility for the students of French langue in secondary schools because it increases their motivations and interest.
The increase of these attitudinal aspects participates positively and efficiently in the acquisition of French language consequently in development of the students linguistic and cultural skills.
