chloramphenicol against Salmonella typhi(S.typhi), which cause typhoid

Three hundered stool samples were collected from males (84%) and
females (16%). Cultivation of these samples on enriched and/or selective
media yielded isolation of four strains of S.typhi, and twenty five strain of
Salmonella paratyphi B (S.paratyphi B).
In this study all the S.typhi and S.paratyphi B were sensitive 100%to
chloramphenicol.
