Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the impact of the application of the ISO system ISO 22000:2018 on food safety through an applied study on Cofftea Ltd. A descriptive and a case study were used. A questionnaire was constructed for data collection. Statistical package software (SPSS) was used to analyze the data. The study results revealed the high costs of food safety requirements, and the lack of compliance with legal requirements and legislation. The study recommended the need to provide appropriate training and awareness to all employees who have an impact on food safety management systems, update the existing food safety management systems to meet the needs, and to verify the inclusion of ISO 22000:2018 in the company’s food safety management system through internal audit and management review,which confirms that the company is ready and compliant with the requirements of ISO 22000:2018 standard. The most important conclusion is the existence of control standards for food safety within the company. The study confirms that the implementation of the Food Safety Management System 2018: ISO22000 contributes to achieving abundance with the gradual decrease in the costs of re-manufacturing, re-performance of work, re-inspection and product replacement, achieving prosperity and gaining a good reputation locally and internationally.
