Abstract:
This study was carried out from October 2018 to September 2019, to identify and estimate the prevalence of gastrointestinal worms of poultry in Atbara in River Nile state, Sudan.
A total of 322 faecal samples are collected from 19 poultry farms in Atbara locality. Flotation and sedimentation tests are used for identification of gastrointestinal worms .Out of 78 positive cases,(23,2%)were found positive for nematodes (24%), includesAscaridia galli.
A.galli was the most common gastrointestinal worm was recorded .otherwormswereStrongylides avium(5%), capillaria spp(4%). heterakis gallinarum (2.2%) ,whereas were one species of cestodes and this Raillietina spp (0.9%) .
