Abstract:
The aim of the research is to identify the relationship between academic adjustment and the academic achievement motivation of the deserted and not deserted high school students for the construction of the Meroe Dam, and to identify the differences in academic adjustment and the academic achievement motivation according to the variables (place of dissertations, gender, academic level) and the researcher followed the descriptive analytical method and applying the Academic Adjustment Scale (prepared by Ziyadi 1964 and researcher development) and Achievement Motivation Scale (prepared by Attia 2002 and researcher development) on a stratified random sample of (467) examined and the data were analyzed statistically by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program, and the researcher reached to the following results: The academic adjustment and the academic achievement motivation of the deserted not-deserted high school students for construction of the Meroe Dam is high, and there is a positive statistically significant correlation between academic adjustment and academic achievement motivation and there are statistically significant differences in academic adjustment according to the gender variable in favor of females, and there are statistically significant differences in the academic achievement motivation according to the gender variable in favor of males and there are no statistically significant differences in the academic adjustment according to the academic level and there are statistically significant differences in academic achievement motivation according to the variable academic level in favor of the third academic level and there are statistically significant differences in academic adjustment according to the desertation variable in favor of not-deserted and there are statistically significant differences in academic achievement motivation according to the desertation variable in favor of not-deserted. Based on the results reached, the researcher presented a number of recommendations and proposals, the most important of which are: attention to secondary schools for those affected by the construction of the Merowe Dam by appointing psychological counselor in each school.
