Abstract:
Sulfur (s) is a non-metal it is the tenth most common element by mass in the universe, and the fifth most common on earth with approximately 3% of the earth’s mass. Has a yellow color and stinking smelling.
The ultimate goal is to find the amount and the proportion of Sulfur in warehouse’s soil to Cyprus rotundus plants.
Three samples has been taken from Cyprus rotundus plant according to plant color (greenish, yellow with brown and yellow ) to investigate the existence of Sulfur on those samples using spectra photometer techniques wither there is a sulfur on it or not by using spectra photometer .The results of measurements came out respectively:(0.211mg/kg,1.162mg/kg,0.845mg/kg).
The three samples have been done X-Ray Fluorescence techniques. The percentages of Sulfur in the three samples respectively are (1.6, 1.8 and 1.7).
