Abstract:
This study aimed at investigating the difficulties encountered by university students in using bound morphemes. The study a doped a descriptive method which combined both qualitative and quantitative analysis, the instrument was used for data collection was questionnaire for (30) English teachers, the data were analyzed by using SPSS program. The study showed that students face problems when they use bound morphemes, also it found that the curriculum itself is one of causes of bound morphemes problems because it doesn’t provide students enough practice and activities in using bound morphemes. It provided results for questionnaire which show that most students don’t know the rules of using bound morphemes and not aware about the important of bound morphemes. The study recommended that, teachers are not teach the rules of bound morphemes in details, also teachers have to give students more practices about bound morphemes. The study also contained some suggestions for further studies.
