Abstract:
The prostate cancer is the one of the major problems in adults male. This study was conducted at Alnelein Medical Diagnostic Center in Khartoum .The main objective of the study was to find the relationship between PSA level and bone metastasis in prostate cancer paients,the study sample was consisted of 50 patients(ages from 60-90 y.) with prostate cancer who were referred to Alnelein Medical Diagnostic Center for bone imaging. The study was done in the period between January 2017to April 2017.
Data concerning PSA level, bone scan result, age and geographical region were gathered from the patient's files, and analyzed using excel soft ware program and SPSS.
The result of the study was showed significant relationship between PSA levels and bone metastases, From the 50patient there was 24patients with bone metastases 48% their PSA range from (15ng/ml-100ng/ml), the result show that there was relationship between PSA level increasing and bone metastases spread in the body.
Also the result shows that the most common region of metastases was the pelvic bone. Also the ruslt shows that there is no relation between age and PSA level.
