Extraction, Characterization and Antimicrobial Activity of Citrus Oil from Lemon Peels

Abstract

The essential oil from the dry peels of Citrus limon was extracted by hydro distillation. The essential oil yield was found to be 0.6%(v/w).physical and chemical properties of the oil were studies : refractive index (1.462), density (0.918) and viscosity (1.462) .............
