Abstract:
This descriptive study Was conducted Via the selection of one hundred patients in the WhiteNile State , Kosti teaching Hospital , renal unit (Sudan), during the period from the first of october2015 to the end of October 2016. The aim of this study was to know the role of ultrasonography in the evaluation of chronic renal failure. The researcher analyzed all the results and compared them to the previous studies .The study results showed that ultrasonography has agood role in the evaluation of chronic renal failure, and the disease is more common in the elderly male with low socio-economic status than female with high soco-economic ststus in the study area.
The study suggested that all patients with renal impairment should undergo ultrasonography before being investigated by other modalities.
The study recommended that further studies with large samples in the future could be done in the same topic to know more about the role of ultrasonography in the evaluation of chronic renal failure,in sudan in general
