Abstract:
In this work, acomputer simulationwas built andoperatedto simulate the plasma ofAlkaline earth group produced by different lasers,Iodine laser at wavelengthsof 1.3µm, and0.44µm.Nd-YAG laser with wavelengths of1.064µm, 0.532µm and0.355µm. Excimer laser at wavelengthsof 0.248µmand 0.193µm.Different laserintensities in the range of 1x109W/cm2 to 1x1013W/cm2were used to calculate the electron temperature of the plasma of these elements.
This simulation was depended on the matlab program. The relations betweenthe plasma electron temperature and laserspowerdensities, wavelengths, and atomic numbers of the elements were studied.
It was found that the plasma electron temperature increased when the laser intensities were increased. While the plasma electron temperature increased with increasing the wavelength of the lasers. The relation between the plasma electron temperature and theatomic numbers of the alkaline earth group is inverse relation, when the atomic number increased the plasma electron temperature decreased.
This study recommended to applying this study experimentally to compare the practical results with the simulation results.
