Abstract:
International standards covering environmental management are intended to provide organization with the elements of an effective environmental management system (EMS) that can be integrated with other management requirement and help organization achieve environmental and economic goals.
The impact of implementing ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) on Customers satisfaction, Employees satisfaction and top management as environmental performance indicators was assessed using questionnaire.
The objectives of the research are: to identifying the relation between the application of ISO 14001 and customer satisfaction, To identifying the relation between the application of ISO 14001 and employee performance and To examine if the top management of Sudanese petroleum pipelines CO. LTD can help to provide reliable and high environmental performance indicators results.
The researcher use three hypotheses to examine the performance: firstly: There is a relation between implementing ISO 14001 and customer satisfaction, Secondly: There is a relation between implementing ISO 14001 and employee satisfaction, thirdly: The implementing of ISO 14001 need support from top management.
The results show that the implementation of ISO 14001 EMS by Sudanese pipelines petroleum Co. LTD (SPPC) led to significant environmental improvements, customers are satisfied as well as employees. In addition, top management plays an effort to enhance the environmental performance. Also, Implementation of ISO 14001 improves the quality of services provided by Sudanese pipelines petroleum Co. LTD (SPPC).
