dc.description.abstract The collinearity equations may be regarded as the most generally applicable set of equations in photogrammetry .They express the relationship between the coordinates of image points measured on the photograph and the coordinates of the same points in the object coordinates system . In this dissertation two methods of solution for the collinearity condition equations were carried out. These are the direct linear transformation method and the iterative method. Measurements for the x and y photo coordinates of a close-range stereopair were carried out using the ZEISS JENNA STEKO 1918 stereo-comparator. The stereo pair consists of two close-range photos taken with anon-metric camera. The actual coordinates of the object space points and their root mean square errors where calculated . The direct linear transformation solutions gave more accurate results compared to the iterative solution. en_US
