Abstract:	This study tries to find out the role of pair work developing speaking skills among students of Sudan University first year . The researchers used questionnaire to collect data and study sample is first year students at Sudan University . The study has arrived the following results that pair work can help students to acquire more vocabulary . also can help in exchanging ideas and thoughts . Teachers should motivate to speak English in the classroom.
