Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the problems of oral communication among EFL learners. Since oral communication is an important part of learning languages. The research data have been obtained by using two instruments: the oral test and questionnaire for teachers. The data have been computed and statistically analyzed (by using the statistical package of Social science(SPSS). The research findings have shown that the main problems that face Sudanese EFL learners in oral communication are problems of lack of self-confidence and shyness and hesitation, and lack of knowledge of technical vocabulary has greatly contributed to poor oral communication. The study has recommended that: Sudanese EFL learners should practice speaking English language inside the lecture-room in order to improve their oral communication skill, and develop their self-confidence. Teacher should be keen on developing EFL learners' speaking skill, anduniversities should established language labs so as to allow students to practice the communicative activities in supportive environment.
