| Abstract: | The main aim of this study is to investigate the problem of speaking among Grade 7 pupils in basic school in Khartoum State. The study follows the descriptive analytical approach in obtaining and analyzing the data. A questionnaire is designed for teachers to give their responses about the problem.The study has reached to some findings, the most important ones are:pupils face difficulties in participating in communicative activities. There are situational, environmental factors like class arrangement and anxiety that affect their ability in speaking.Based on the findings, the researcher recommends the teachers and educationists to give reasonable focus on curriculum design to speaking skills. |
