Analysis of Implicatures Used In Some Verses of the Holy Qur'an

Abstract

This study aims at determining the implicature used in the Holy Qur'an, whether "linguistically" from a semantic point of view, or "socially" from pragmatic point of view, or from another side of phonetic, social, kinesics, psychological, …etc implication. The researcher sees that implicature is not restricted to those two types mentioned by H.P.Grice, "the theory founder". So this classification is acceptable for addition, abstraction and modification as scholars and critics have demonstrated. From this study, the researcher intuits the beauty of this phenomenon by contriving the verses of the Holy Qur'an, which is considered more elevated for sense, and the most deserving for observation.
