Abstract:
Abstract
This study was conducted in Khartoum state to identify the
level of job satisfaction for Agricultural Extensionists in the
public administration of technology transfer and agricultural
extension and its impact on the efficiency of extension work .
The study aimed to identify the level of job satisfaction of
agricultural extension workers in the centers and units of the
Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Resource and Irrigation,
Khartoum State, according to the factors of job satisfaction
{ salary, financial incentives, moral incentives, promotion,
efficient organization and management style of work}.
Number of workers employed general management for
technology transfer and extension of the Ministry of
Agriculture, animal resource and Irrigation Khartoum State's
(63) of male and female, and the proportion to the
circumstances of some workers who were on leave and four
counselors were hired in July 2013 has not been assigned any
tasks they are in a period of training, it becomes the size of

the community (50) Researched questionnaires were
distributed to study them and then filled and discharged and
analyzed.
Primary data was collected through questionnaires,
realization, and personal interviews , while secondary data
was collected through books, previous related researches,
report an the internet.
The questionnaires were rearranged, classified in to, and
then analyzed using the programme of the Statistical
Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS).
The study gave several results, some of which are mentioned
below:
- 88 % of respondents were dissatisfied with their salaries.
- 74 % of respondents receive incentives.
- 26% of respondents do not receive any form of incentives.
- 90% of respondents were dissatisfied with the working
conditions to their organization.
- 88 % of respondents were interested in their work despite
their dissatisfaction of the working conditions.
- 94 % of respondents do not find consonance between the
job description and educational background of extension .
Based on the results the following recommendations were
suggested:

1- Give more care to support the administration of technology
transfer and agricultural extension to be more effective .
2- Qualifying the different agricultural extension centers
through availing material and logistic support for more
effective communication with farmers .
3- Interest in the material and moral stimulation urged
workers to be creative.
