The use of Free Indirect Discourse as stylistic device creates possibilities of tension amongst the characters of the novel and the readers. Due to the fact that the use of such narratives stylistic blends so well in terms of the subjectivity and objectivity consequently leads to misinterpretation ,from which point of view the story has been told. The research includes different opinions coming from different critics and scholars. The researcher recommendations for teachers and students are to be aware of the style of the language been used in the novel which shows how spoken and written language is used, to manipulate people in terms of perceptions, judgments and choices, moreover to demonstratehow Austen in particular interested in both the problem of evaluating others and the use of Free Indirect Discourse as a narrative style to address this problem.
