Abstract:
The present investigation was undertaken under laboratory conditions at the Plant protection Department, College of Agricultural Studies, Sudan University of Science and Technology, to study the effect of ethanol extract of argel leaves on the shelf life of orange fruits
Three concentrations of this extract (100%, 50% and 25%) were used in addition to the untreated control.
The results showed that all the concentrations of the ethanol extracts of argel leaves showed significant inhibitory effect on the extention of the shelf life of orange fruits compared to the untreated control (p=0.05).
