Abstract:
The research was conduct to investigate protozoan parasitic infestation in
Cat fish (Clarias garpenius) collected from two Mayaa at Dinder
National Park. A total of 30 samples of cat fish (Clarias garpenius) were
collected from Abd- Elgani and Al tamsaseeh Mayaa at Dinder National
Park during the summer season during the period 24/3/2015 to 29/3/2015.
This study was aimed to identify the protozoan parasite of high parasitic
load. The result obtained from this study showed that (Clarias spp) fish
do not show any significant external lesion or abnormality.The result also
revealed Trichodina spp, , Chilodonella spp, Ichthyobodo spp, ,
Cryptobia spp, Hemoggarine spp, Apiosomasp sp and Hypophthalchthus
sp from mentioned species. All the result was analysis by SPSS version
(16) by using descriptive statistics to determine the percentage and
prevalence of parasite represent by tables.
