dc.description.abstract This experiment was carried out in the experiment field of the College of Agricultural Studies, Sudan University of Science and Technology, in Shambat, during the period from the 13thJuly2014 toNeom2014. The goal of this research is to estimate of variability, heritability between different characters in seventeen sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) genotypes and used SRAP technology in identifying sesame genotypes. Randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications was used in this study. Different yield characters among the seventeen genotypes were measured. The results showed that there were highly significant differences at (p≤0.01) were scored for weight of 1000 seed, and significant differences at (p≤0.05) were scored for number of capsules/plant and number of capsules in main stem, and non-significant differences was obtained for seed yield (g) and seed yield (t/ha). The highest values of genotypic and phenotypic variances were scored for number of capsules/plant respectively. Higher value of heritability was recorded for weight of 1000 seed, whereas the lowest value was scored for number of capsules in main stem. The genotype High Land scored the highest yield (0.2506t/ha). en_US
