dc.description.abstract | In this work we studied Lie groups and Lie algebras. We considered several examples of Lie groups and their associated Lie algebras. We treated the representation theory of Lie groups and used this theory in the problem of classification of some Lie algebras such as semi –simple and solvable Lie algebras.
