This research is study about control theory, a primary objective of a control theory is to make the output of a dynamic process behave in a certain manner. Control theory is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering and mathematics that deals with the behavior of dynamical systems. The main objective of this research is to investigate the properties of Proportional plus Integral plus Derivative (PID) control from the point of view of simple tuning rules by Ziegler- Nichols step response method, then also aim at providing a good load disturbance rejection performance. Different methods of PID controller tuning are used for different types of continuous systems. They intended to achieve fast closed-loop step response without excessive oscillations and excellent disturbance rejection. And also the objective of study (PID) from the point of view of simple design controller by Root Locus step response method, this method is using computer solution (MATLAB), the root locus plotted the values of the system parameter. It is important, therefore, that the designer know how the closed-loop poles move in the s plane as the loop gain is varied. This research is suggested to study the following topics: chapter one Introduction and basic concept of control system and Proportional plus Integral plus Derivative(PID), chapter two Tuning method for the basic(PID)control, chapter three Discussion of computational approach for transient-response analysis with MATLAB, chapter four Two-Degrees-of-Freedom PID Control and chapter five PID controller Design by Root Locus method. The results of this research are use MATLAB to plot time response curves of system , simulation and we find the transfer functions of the models, for the given inputs and outputs. We use MATLAB for the transient-response analyses.en_US
