| Abstract: | General Ideas about American Culture How does American culture differ from others? There are several ways to address that question. The first way we will use, in chapter 1, is to consider the values and assumptions that Americans live by. The second is to examine their ―communicative style‖; that we do in chapter 2. Chapter 3 is about how Americans reason and think about things. Chapter 4, the last in Part 1, addresses U.S. American customs. |
