The first way we will use, in chapter 1, is to consider the values and assumptions that Americans live by. The second is to examine their ―communicative style‖; that we do in chapter 2. Chapter 3 is about how Americans reason and think about things. Chapter 4, the last in Part 1, addresses U.S. American customs.en_US
