Abstract: This study aimed at examining using the potentialities of social networks in developing university students’ reading comprehension. It also aimed to draw the attention to the importance of Social Networks as a new medium for teaching and education in general. This study adopted of a descriptiveand experimental methods.An inferential statistical "chi-square” was codedto analyze data collected. A questionnaire was carefully constructed, and then distributed among the teachers which comprised fifty (50) teachers at universities level who were randomly selected. in the first step and inferential statistical method "T-test” was used to code and analyze the data collected. The test was carefully constructed, and then it was distributed among the students which comprised twenty (20) students of the first class at the university level who were randomly selected. The researcher used Statistical Packages for Social Sciences(SPSS) program to analyze the data. The study showed that: Social Networks have a great role in enhancing the skills of reading comprehension. Social Networks help students to address their difficulties and problems of reading comprehension. The thesis is concluded in some recommendations and suggestions for further studies.
