The aims of this research are to:
1. Compile a usable tool for teachers and learners of Grade 8.
2. Determine the usability of the learning package by means of formative and summative evaluation.
The package, which is the object of evaluation in this study is a package for learning Logarithms for Grade 8 in Sudanese Basic Schools. The package was tested on the learners of the eighth class (4 classes) in Ahmed El-Basheer El-abaadi Basic School for Girls.
140 learners fill the questionnaire, 69 of them completed pretest and posttest. They were chosen as a sample group age between 11-15 years. Beside 10 teachers and educators filled teachers’ checklist.
Various methodologies were used to answer the research questions, namely: Observation, Questionnaire, Interview, Pre and Post Test, Checklist, and Temple Form.
By comparing the collected data with literature review the conclusions and recommendations were concluded.
The following conclusions were obtained:
1. The package is effective but needs improving.
2. Program follows integration learning environment, but in high behaviorist level.
3. The target population liked the program so much.
4. The criteria of adequacy (cosmetic, technical, pedagogical, and curriculum) are efficient to an acceptable extent.
According to conclusions the researcher recommends that:
1. The learning package should be improved as soon as possible.
2. Educational environments must include a combination have behavioral, and constructivist elements just as the lesson needs and the possibility of application.
3. Target population should be considered through designing or selecting learning program.
4. The criteria of adequacy (cosmetic adequacy, technical adequacy, pedagogical adequacy, and curriculum adequacy) are highly considered.
The researcher also recommends that:
1. Using computer as learning tool in addition to other tools such as teaching and technical tools with consideration to the requirement of a lesson and the help that can offered by the computer.
2. The teacher can make his\her small model to his\her lesson.
3. Preparing and training of teachers in this field (CIE: Computer Integrate Education).
4. Introducing computers in Basic schools. |
