dc.description.abstract The spleen is situated for the most part in the left hypochondrial region of abdomen or it lies between the fundus of the stomach and the diaphragm protected by ribs Spleen is one of the most important organs in the reticuloendothelial system; it is response to antigenic challenge, destruct abnormal red cells. Phagocytosis of foreign substances platelets and erythrocyte production The objective of this study is to evaluate spleen by ultrasound and check the accuracy ultrasound in calculation the normal splenic size 150 patients from different areas of KSA were scanned, all them came for abdominal ultrasound During this study I tried to look for the splenic measurements I took three measurements as length ,width and thickness , then I calculated the volume of spleen according to the formula , I also calculated the splenic index I believe that the ultrasound have high accuracy in calculating the normal splenic size en_US
