dc.description.abstract This is a cross-sectional descriptive and analytical study, conducted at Khartoum laboratory directorate during the period from June 2010 to September 2010. The aim of this study is to confirm three types of rapid tests and ELISA in diagnosis of HIV in HIV patient voluntary counseling center who attended Khartoum state. Hundred samples were taken. Seventy one (71) samples from positive volunteers and twenty nine (29) were negative. The samples were selected and tested first by using a rapid test and then confirmed by using ELISA. No different seen between three type of rapid test and ELISA In the result of test, P. value = 0.000 which reflex the sensitivity of ELISA and specificity of three rapid test. The results indicate that no difference seen between rapid test and ELISA confirmatory. en_US
