dc.description.abstract This study was .conducted at the demonstration from of the collage of agriculture studies of Sudan University of Science and Technology. During the period from November to February 2011to evaluated four cultivars of sunflower .((Helianthus auunns L The experiment was carried out in Randomized Completed .Block Design with four replications In order to study the range of genetic variability, heritability genetic coefficient with four replications. Search growth and .yield character were measured in chorded In order to study the range of genetic variability, heritability .genetic coefficient of variation and genetic advance The data revalued (8) characters were collected. Significant differences and non significant in growth and yield trait among the four cultivars. Except plant height, number of leaves per plant, leaf efficiency, steam diameters mature .seed weight and yield kg/ha The highest of (G.C.V) was recorded for number of leaves per plant (33.78%). Whereas the lowest of G.C.V)was the stem diameters (2.26%) the highest moderate heritability (h2 76% ) were scored for 100 seeds weight , leave efficiency , while the lowest estimated (h2 40%)was attained for plant height, number of leaves per plant, Stander disc. Mature seed .weight 11 ‫‪cultivars in both growth charactersand yield character. This‬‬ ‫‪clear n plant height, standard disc, yield and 1000 sees‬‬ ‫‪.weight‬‬ en_US
