dc.description.abstract This research deals with causes of abortion in Karima Hospital. The general objectives of this study was to detect the frequency of abortion and the relationship between frequency of abortion and different risk factors. It was carried out on 100 patient from Kareema hospital with or without complication, to determine the cause and type of abortion.. The study was conducted from the period septemper up to october 2009. The machine used in the study was Fukoda model (4100), probes was convex with frequencies ranging from 3-4MHz.All patient were prepared by full bladder and using trans-abdominal probe. All patients scanned with supine position technique. The study revealed that the highest causes is heavy work about 23% fallowing by umknown cause 21%, infection 18% ,trauma 18% ,nutritional deficiency 13% and alcohol 7%. The study revealed that also the high incidence of abortion is incomplete abortion about 41%,fallowed by complete abortion 18%,threatened abortion 16%,blighted ovum 9%,missed abortion 7%,inevitable abortion 7%,and ectopic 2% en_US
