Abstract:
This study aims to investigate of the common errors of English pronunciation in Sudan University of Science and Technology, College of Education. Throughout the research's observation most of the students in Sudan University seem to have common errors pronunciation. The researcher collected the data by random sample composed (30) students. The researcher used oral test answered by group of students also researcher aims to fulfill the flowing : To identify the common errors committed by students in Sudan University in English Pronunciations , although to discover the main reason of the problem .Finally syllabus should provide more attention to the area of pronunciations. The main Hypothesis of this study University students face difficulties in pronunciation of silent words contain silent letters, University students make many errors in pronouncing as result of interference of the first language, University students are not able to differentiate between some consonant . The thesis is ended with some suggestion for further studies:
Our focus school is on teaching strategies in order to avoid committing errors, Some of English errors pronunciation is problematic to the Sudanese students, Absence of the native speaker beside the staff one of the main causes of the problem.
