dc.description.abstract |
This study is dealing with patients suspected to have small renal stones. These patients are scanned by ultrasound, KUB, IV U and spiral CT KUB.
Fifty patients has been examined in Yastibshiron medical center by spiral C T scanner & finding the ultrasound, I V U, K U B is taken from their records files.
The study revealed the following results:
Spiral C T KUB is highest sensitivity &specificity study for demonstrating renal stones 80%
In CT KUB stone size and density can be estimated digitally.
The K U B may be sufficient to diagnose uuretrolithiasis in patients with large size stone disease &previous KUB S
I V U examination should be done only if there we are investigated kidney function.
Ultrasound must be used for every patient suspected to renal stone as scanning procedure before perform further examination. |
