dc.description.abstract A descriptive study conducted in Atbara locality in the River Nile State the climate was dry hot(desert annual) in summer and hot wet in autumn rain fall varies from zero to 150 mm. The survey period extend three months and started in May ,June and jully2020.fecal samples were collected from total of 400 goats selected randomly. and were analyzed by two diagnostic tests, Floatation test and direct test technique, the result in two testes were equal, The positive samples was 135 out of 400 goat, The rate of coccidiosis was (33.8%) in tow testes the prevalence of coccidiosis species infection significantly (p<0.05) with six risk factors (sex, breed, age, housing, hygiene, season) according to result this study revealed the infection increased in female compared with male, also in small ages than adult and close system than open and in bad management compared with good mangement, high association between breed and the disease (P-value 0.007) the prevalence of coccidiosis in local breed lower than saanin. In conclusion the prevalence of coccidiosis was relatively low compared to others study . Through the field survey, we did not find any animal with symptoms of coccidiosis, but through the laboratory, we found some animals carryinthe parasite. Therefore, additional studies are required to clarify the relationship between the appearance of symptoms and the amount of the parasite in the animal’s body. en_US
