dc.description.abstract |
The main objective of this study to assess the performance of x-ray equipments in three radiology department.
The study was conducted at radiology department, performed the basic quality control tests Kv accuracy, x ray tube reproduciability, timer accuracy, mAs linearity and half value layer.
The results of this study showed that, KVp accuracy, x ray reproducibility, timer accuracy, timer reproducibility, mAs linearity and half value layer were within acceptable limits to two x.ray mashines, thrid mashine fail on most of the QC test.
The study recommended that, routine checking and quality testes to x-ray units should be perform in regular and opertaor should be caution when dealing with radiography devices during operation and storage to identify any faults. |
