dc.description.abstract The main objective of this research is to study the bacterial count of Staphylococcus aureus in white cheese samples in Bahri locality . The experiment was conducted during September 2018. the Microbiolical analysis was carried out in the microbiology laboratory, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Sudan University of Science and Technology. One hundred samples of white cheese prepared for sale and consumption were collected from four different regions in Bahri locality ( central Bahri unit, Bahri city unit, Bahri North unit, East Nile unit) 25samples per area, samples were carried in an ice box for microbiological assessment. Mannitol salt ager was used for Staphylococcus aureus count .The obtained data was analyzed using One-way ANOVA. The result showed there was highly count in Bahri North unit samples (2.25 log cfu/ml), Bahri central unit samples (2.14 log cfu/ml), then Bahri city unit samples (1.92 log cfu/ml), while low count was in East Nile unit samples (1.75 log cfu/ml).These results indicated that contamination of white cheese during or after processing. Its recommended to do further study for the microbiological evaluation of white cheese. en_US
