dc.description.abstract This study is about evaluation of the pelvimetric image quality by conventional x-ray to primary gravid ladies. To assess the female pelvic in relation of bipartetal diameter of baby head to decide the normal vaginal delivery possible or commence cesarean section. This study included sampling of 23 primary gravid ladies to detect the the role of examination. The study was conducted in 2011 in the reproductive health care center in Khartoum city. The researcher collected the data of the pelvimetric examination from pregnant ladies and then analyzed and discussed the results. The researcher concluded that, the radiation dose in the center exceeded the normal range, and in the measurement of inlet the more frequency was found 15cm with 58.8% and in outlet more frequency was found 14cm with 58.8% from total sampling (17 pregnant ladies). And in the head of the baby was found the more frequency was 11cm with 82.4% from total sampling (17 pregnant ladies). In quality of image the more frequency was found v. good image with 65.52% from total sampling (23 images of pelvimetry). From all, the researcher recommended to use high kv technique to reduce the radiation dose to patient, and selected the technical factor related to the patient weight, highest, and used the collimation to avoid unnecessary radiation dose to the patient. en_US
