dc.description.abstract This study is intended to investigate and explore the Government Finance Statistics (GFS), since it considered as an essential improvement of government budget preparation. It aimed at revealing some foreign countries practical experiences of GFS implementation, so as to define its most important advantage and criteria, which can then be applied in Sudan. The study is based on the descriptive method through reviewing of various documents obtained from local and international institutions which adopted the GFS. The most important results of this study indicated that the system of accrual GFS provides details of revenues, expenses cash flows, assets and liabilities of public sector. Moreover, the application of accrual GFS consolidate methodology nets out all relevant flows and stocks for the sector for which the statistics are prepared. en_US
