Skin tags arecommon benign lesions composed of loose fibrous tissue
and occurring mainly on the neck and majorflexures as a small soft
peduncu1ated protrusion. This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of
C02 laser(fraction mode) for the treatment of skin tags.
Ten patientswere included in this study 2(males) and 8(females). They
were complaining of skin tags, beforetreatment laser safety was done. All
patient were treated under local anesthesia .The laser system used in this
study was the 10600 nm carbon dioxide laser in continuous mode with
power 4.5 and 7 \Vatts. Patients were very satisfied upon the treatment
results, because of fewer side effects and less rec oven· time.
The results obtained were encouraging the use of co2 laser in skin tags
+treatment because of its greater safety margin and precise ablation. and
could replacing the other modalities of treatment for the ablation of
many superficial lesions. |
