dc.description.abstract This study aims to investigate the role of communicative activities in acquiring vocabulary. The researcher has adopted the descriptive analytical method to conduct the research. A questionnaire has been used as a tool for collecting data. Data have been statistically analyzed. The research sample comprises (30) male and female English teachers drawn from secondary schools. The researcher has arrived at the following important results: Communicative activities help students to use their vocabulary, listening a lot and involvement in real communication activities can improve learners speaking skill, building self confidence and effective teaching of vocabulary can improve speaking skill. en_US
