Abstract:
This study conducted the Shami Damascus goat's from
Cyprus farm in Dongola city in northern state. The present work
utilized information from farm owns records accumulated over the
period 2008 to 2012.
The study examined birth and weaning weights (4 weeks) of
kids for 30 heads of mother Original herds bring directly from
Cyprus, they already pregnant, and it have fifth kidding seasons.
Although study the birth and weaning weight of kids for 10 heads
of first generation, it have three kidding season. And 10 heads of
second generation, it have tow kidding season.
Analysis results determine the effect of litter size on birth and
weaning weight (4 weeks) for different generation for single,
twins, triplets and quadruplets the mean birth weights was 4, 3.8,
4.4 kg, and 3.1.the results also indicated the effect of litter size on
weaning weight (4 weeks) for different generation, it were 16.2,
12.5, 11.5 and 13.4 kg for single, twins, triplets and quadruplets
respectively.
When the effects of party order on birth weight of kids for
mother generation in their five party seasons were indicates that
third party secured highest weight among all type of birth and there
was increased observably in birth weights with increased in party
.the birth weights were 3.75, 3.9, 4.1, 3.9 and 3.626 kg for first,
second, third, fourth and fifth party. Whereas the effects of party
order on weaning weight of kids for mother generation were
indicates that third party secured highest weight among all type of
birth and there was increased observably in weaning weights with
increased in party, the mean of weaning weight, was 13.96,14,
5.04, 13.86 and 14.29kg, for first, second, third, fourth and fifth
kidding respectively.
The average means of birth and weaning weights of all pooled
data (all categories) 3.887kg and 14.16kg respectively.
