Abstract:
The study aims at exploring the difficulties that face learners in using prepositions, to identify the difficulties of students in using preposition in their correct places and the reason behind that. The study adopted descriptive analytical method. The main tools used was test for the students, while the population of the study from International University of Africa. The sample of the study consisted of 30 learners from International University of Africa Second year. The data were analyzed by using statistical progamm (SPSS), which provided percentage result from the test. The study came out with results that most of EFL learners were execellent in using preposition among University Students. Finally, the study suggested some further studies for research such as: investigating the effective method for teaching prepositionsتهدف هذه الدراسة لاستكشاف الصعوبات التي تواجه الدارسين في استخدام حروف الجر , تحديد الصعوبات التي يواجهها الطلاب في استخدام حروف الجر في أماكنها الصحيحة والأسباب وراء ذلك. إعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي حيث استخدم اختبار للطلاب كوسيلة رئيسية لجمع بيانات الدراسة وشملت عينة الدراسة ثلاثين دراساً حيث مثلت جامعة إفريقيا العالمية مجتمع الدراسة. وقد تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام برنامج التحليل الإحصائي ، حيث كانت النتائج في شكل نسب مئوية , أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها الدارس أن معظم دارسي اللغة الإنجليزية من طلاب الجامعة كلغة أجنبية لا يجابهون صعوبات في استخدام حروف الجر. إقترحت الدراسة بعض الدراسات الإضافية للبحث مثل: دراسة الطرق الفعالة لتعليم حروف الجر.
